William N. ‘Bill’ Parker, Sr.
PEARLAND — Mr. William N. “Bill” Parker, Sr. passed from this life Thursday morning, December 9, 2010, peacefully at home.

Born October 21, 1942 in Alvin, Texas, Mr. Parker had been a resident of Galveston County for many years, previously living in Allen, Oklahoma. He had been employed with Union Carbide for 25 years, retiring in 1999 as an operator. William was a former Galveston County Sheriff’s Deputy and also Department Constable for Mr. Ike Franks. He enjoyed deer hunting and had a good sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frances (McNary) Parker and sister, Beverly Harvey.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 15 years, Bessie Mae Howell; sons, William Neal “Bill” Parker, Jr. and wife, Billie Jo of Santa Fe, Keith Parker and wife, Shelly of Pearland, Patrick Parker and wife, Kristi; daughter, Theresa Saenz and husband, Ray also of Santa Fe; stepchildren, Ronnie Free and wife, Sharon of Santa Fe, David Free of MI, Ramona Cross and husband, Lynn of Oklahoma; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother, Joe Parker and wife, Judy of East Tawakoni, Texas; sister, Marilyn Drumm of North Carolina.

Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 14, 2010, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Redd officiating. Interment will follow at Alta Loma Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Ronnie Free, Velvet Hall, Kevin Patterson, Justin Parker, Matt Pena and Audie Whittington. Honorary bearers will be Phillip Mailloux and Alvin Regini.
